Bedrock Data hands exposure fixes to whoever owns the dataset

Instead of piling findings into a central backlog, the platform tickets the data owner directly and reopens the case if the fix does not hold.

Bedrock Data has shipped AI-assisted remediation that pushes the work of fixing an exposed dataset to the team that actually owns it, rather than to a central security group.

It works out who holds the dataset, files a ticket in whichever Jira or ServiceNow workflow the business already uses, and hands over enough context to resolve the case. When the ticket is marked done, Bedrock re-tests the exposure and reopens the case if anything remains.

Why the central team could never keep up

Corporate data estates stretch across thousands of stores, billions of records and petabytes. The security team accountable for all of it is small by comparison, has access to very little of it, and generally does not know how the business uses it. The engineers and analysts who actually own those datasets do.

Conventional data security posture tools stop at visibility. That leaves a growing list of exposures and no reliable route to closure. In Bedrock’s own Confidence Index, 76% of respondents cited a lack of automation and too much manual work as the brake on data security.

AI agents raise the stakes

Agents consume data at machine speed, obeying permissions instead of business intent. A sensitive file left in a test environment used to be unlikely to surface. A copilot can now stumble onto it and quote it straight back.

EY’s 2026 AI risk research found 85% of executives whose firms run agents reporting that at least some act on important matters with no human in the loop at the time.

The capability is generally available and bundled with the platform, which puts it alongside a crowded field of vendors arguing that exposure management belongs to the data owner.
