Sevii’s Cyber Swarm Defense charges per asset protected instead of per AI token, allowing CISOs to spin up unlimited defensive agents during attacks without budget surprises.
CISOs face a self-perpetuating problem: economic pressures lead to insufficient security budgets, resulting in smaller teams and increased reliance on security automation. That automation inevitably includes agentic AI, which can be expensive to use, causing further unpredictable pressure on the tight budget that is the original problem. The autonomous nature of defensive agentic AI, combined with increasing numbers of attacks, makes cost prediction nearly impossible.
On April 28, 2026, Sevii launched a new Cyber Swarm Defense mode within its autonomous defense and remediation platform that addresses this challenge head-on. Instead of charging by AI token usage, CSD charges by asset protected. Sevii CEO Curt Aubley explained: “We don’t charge AI token costs — we charge per asset protected. So there’s a firm fixed price cost, say, $50 a year to protect a laptop, an identity, or a cloud asset. It doesn’t matter how many attacks come in.”
When a customer experiences multiple simultaneous attacks, the Sevii platform automatically spins up as many Cyber Warrior agents as needed without increasing cost. The platform also offers built-in governance through Myrmidon Defense Technology, allowing customers to set remediation service level objectives and determine when autonomous mode is activated. Lower-value assets can be remediated automatically, while critical assets are set aside for manual remediation by in-house security experts.
This approach ensures predictable budgeting without hiring more team members, outsourcing to an MDR, or worrying about AI budget exhaustion mid-incident. The platform targets sub-15 minute full remediation even during cyberattack swarms.
