Authorities in North Macedonia have filed charges against the person accused of running OLVX, a cybercrime marketplace that traded stolen data, credentials and attack tools for roughly three years.

Officials identify the suspect only as “E.A.”, a 20-year-old citizen of North Macedonia. The charges cover computer fraud, misuse of personal data, and the production and distribution of child sexual abuse material.

The case follows a raid in April, when European authorities dismantled the platform, arrested the alleged administrator and searched a home. Prosecutors say the marketplace has operated since 2023 and that illicit sales topped $500,000 over that period.

OLVX sat in the same tier as other English-language forums that serve as one-stop shops for low-level criminals, offering breach data alongside ready-made malicious tooling. Takedowns of such sites rarely end the trade for long, because buyers and sellers migrate to replacements, but they do pause distribution and give investigators a look at the operator’s records.

The charges mark the formal next step in a case that began with the shutdown six months ago.
